Who inspired us?
The story called "Babu Parchet" started in 1982 with a grandfather named Vasile Oltean. That was his name until I popped up in the story, his grandson: Călin Oltean. Since then, he became Babu, for the family as well as for the entire village. Since all the people in the village of Vinerea knew Babu to be a hardworking craftsman, as well as a worthy man, in love with his work and people loving.
Babu would have touched my soul forever. He would have inspired me, as a person as well as in my work. This is why you find with "Babu Parchet" today: tradition, common sense, passion to work the wood, the joy of creating with your own hands and the desire to do things properly.
As a tribute for the man who touched my soul and inspired me in the work I love, we are called “Babu Parchet”.
Who are we today?
Today we are a Team of Craftsmen Wood Floorers with more than 12 years of experience in Assembly and Refurbishment of Hardwood Floors and Parquets, experience that came mainly from working in the German market. Thus, we pride ourselves to pay much attention to details, to be on time, reliable and committed as well in line with the newest trends. We have a rich portfolio that includes one-of-a-kind works that challenged our skills and ability to learn new techniques. We are delighted to be able to carry on an art and adobe it with modern techniques.
We understand the dream of every person to create a special home for them, one that would reflect their personality and we are utmost delighted to help them bring that dream to reality. A house’s hardwood floor speaks of the owner’s good taste as well as of that person’s skill to make good and long-lasting investments. Many times the owner’s biggest worry is that they would not find the craftsman that would assembly the floor specifically as they want it. This is where we cut in.
